Similar to how we learned relationship patterns early on in our lives, we also learned about our overall health and wellbeing through earlier models and messages as well as through life stressors and traumas. By taking time to reflect on what our health means to us personally, we can learn how to optimize our wellbeing, thrive independently, and as a result, we can show up in the world in ways we hope to experience others.

As a licensed psychotherapist and an integrative health coach, I blend my clinical insights and presence with a passion for integrative health and caring for ourselves. I coach others in a group setting, providing space and time to slow down and reflect, digest new perspectives about health and consciously create a personal wellness plan, both simple and accessible, to integrate into one’s overall lifestyle.

What is health coaching?

I define health coaching as support in nourishing our whole selves. We often think of

“nourishment” as the food we put in our bodies, but actually, there are numerous areas

of our lives that are nourishing and are critical to living as our best selves. As your

integrative health coach, I help you explore these areas, identify what is unique and

most important to you, and determine how to integrate them into your life. As part of a

health coaching group, you will have the chance to be part of a community, receiving

multiple perspectives and support from other group members.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Psychotherapy and health coaching are not mutually exclusive and can work well

together to provide holistic care. While therapy provides understanding of ourselves and

our behaviors in the context of neurological, mental and emotional states and commonly

involves healing from the past, health coaching helps us clarify, define, and work

towards goals of optimal personal care, our overall health and living whole heartedly

with the future in mind.
